SMS Order Updates Policy
Online Ordering Program

- Overview
Foodcellar Market offers SMS order update notifications to customers who place orders through our online store. This policy describes how customers opt in, what messages they will receive, and how they can manage their preferences. This program is operated in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable carrier guidelines.
- Customer Agreement
By placing an order through the Foodcellar Market online store and providing a mobile phone number, customers agree to receive automated SMS order update notifications. Consent is collected at checkout as follows:
- A mobile phone number field is presented at checkout.
- The opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default. Consent is never pre-selected or implied.
- Providing a phone number without checking the box does not constitute consent.
All customers who complete an online order and check the opt-in box are bound by this policy and will receive SMS updates for their order.
- Types of Order Update Messages
Customers who opt in will receive the following automated SMS notifications:

| Order Confirmation | Sent immediately when an order is successfully placed online. |
| Order Being Prepared | Sent when store staff begin preparing the customer’s order. |
| Ready for Pickup | Sent when a pickup order is ready and waiting at the store. |
| Out for Delivery | Sent when a delivery order has been dispatched. |
| Order Delivered | Sent when a delivery order has been completed. |
| Order Issue / Update | Sent if an item is unavailable or a change has been made to the order. |
- Sample Messages
The following are examples of messages customers may receive:
- Order Confirmation: “Hi [First Name], your Foodcellar Market order #[XXXX] has been received! We’ll text you when it’s ready. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Ready for Pickup: “Your Foodcellar Market order #[XXXX] is ready for pickup! We’re open until [time]. See you soon.”
- Out for Delivery: “Your Foodcellar Market order #[XXXX] is on its way! Estimated arrival: [time window]. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- Order Issue: “Hi [First Name], [item] was unavailable for order #[XXXX]. A refund has been issued. Questions? Call us at [phone].”
- Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on order activity. Customers can expect between 1 and 4 SMS messages per order depending on fulfillment method (pickup or delivery) and any order changes.
- Opt-Out Instructions
Customers may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any SMS message from Foodcellar Market.
- Contacting us in-store or by phone to request removal.
- Emailing info@foodcellarmarket.com with subject line “SMS Opt-Out” and the mobile number to be removed.
Upon opt-out, the customer will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS communications unless they opt in again.
- Help & Support
Customers who reply HELP will receive:

- Data & Privacy
Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS order updates are used solely for transactional order communications. Foodcellar Market does not sell or share customer phone numbers with third parties. Numbers are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
- Carriers & Liability
Foodcellar Market is not responsible for delays or failures in SMS delivery caused by mobile carriers. Message and data rates may apply depending on the customer’s wireless plan. Supported carriers include all major US carriers.
